that's me, twiddling my thumbs. my obsessive-compulsive nature insists that i must back up all interesting software and supporting files off of my laptop onto my new hard drive before i send it off to apple for a repair on the cd/dvd drive, which broke somehow shortly after i installed the new hard drive. whew.

i leave for omaha on friday morning with cindy. from there, cindy will return to boulder and thence to alaska and hawaii. i will travel with my sister and dad to london. i have no idea what i will do while in britain, but it will be fun. i bought this 400-odd page travel book, and only skimmed it. i think what will happen will be similar to my trip to ireland two summers ago - drive until we find a town that's interesting, then read about it in the travel book to find the cool stuff to do. we will begin, after 3 days in london, by driving north toward nottingham. katie went to school there, and so i will ask her what to do there.
