smoke and morons
i hate smoke. i'm all sneezy this morning because we went out to this crazy dueling piano bar called sing sing in denver last night, and i was surrounded by smokers. well, not surrounded, but it only takes one smoker to make too much smoke. but it was keelie's birthday we were celebrating, along with her new job and new apartment, so i couldn't just tell her to not smoke. i don't think i've ever asked one of my friends to not smoke somewhere, except in my car or truck. i really hope that denver decides to make smoking in public places illegal, like it is in boulder. then, when i go out in denver, i won't have to febreze the holy hell out of my coat like i'm going to do today.

fucking sprint woke me up this morning asking for money. if i had the money, i'd just forgo the entire i300 mess and buy my own palm/phone thingy from another company. i think handspring makes a g3-network-compatible phone that'd be just dandy. but, i have no money. so i say, never back down! sprint will give me customer service or give me death!

my friend kari is in australia right now, damn her. she's on a year-long tour of new zealand, australia, and southeast asia. she's off to some part of southeast asia next, and i'm worried that there'll be another nightclub bombing like there was in bali. she already decided not to go to bali, which is too bad because i hear it's beautiful. but, if they keep blowing up americans, i suppose we'd best keep our over-consuming holier-than-thou asses out of there until those crackmonkey fundamentalists learn that blowing up people is not the way to solve problems. that may be a while, unfortunately, because generally, fundamentalists (of all shapes and sizes) are morons. i mean, once a person decides to follow a strict dogma and abandon reason and critical thinking, they're pretty much lost as a decent human being. i guess i'll have to just stick with the dalai lama's opinion on such matters: "power that comes from the barrel of a gun can only be effective for a short time."
