ha! mtv actually showed a bjork video! and it was pagan poetry!

okay, so it was mtv2 (but mtv itself never shows videos anyway), and it was 2 am, but it still rocked. they had some 3-hour special of "most controversial videos," and after they finished the countdown of "normal" videos (i.e., ones they'd actually shown in part or whole on mtv), they showed a few random videos like aphex twin's "window licker" (pretty disturbing) and bjork's "pagan poetry" (also disturbing -- all of those piercings were really in bjork, including the rings in her back!) included in the countdown was stuff like "baby got back," "me so horny," and "i want your sex" -- all controversial in their time, as well as uncut versions of madonna's "justify my love," prodigy's "smack my bitch up," and nine inch nail's "closer." i missed the beginning -- i wonder if they even mentioned any tool videos.

oh, and i forgot to mention that andrew w.k. was the host of this show. which was odd, since he doesn't seem all that controversial, since all he does is jump around and beat himself. no, i mean beat himself, like with his fists and feet and microphone.
