holy crap! a giant dragon is eating the moon!

there's a pretty awesome lunar eclipse going on right now. i busted out the telescope to check it out in detail. it's pretty neat to see the fuzzy edge of the earth's atmosphere casting a shadow on the moon.

i think i'll put "west wing" on pause and go back outside. tivo rocks.

update: yeah, that's cool. and i can see the changes in elevation from craters and mountains and stuff when i look at the limb of the moon. that's nifty.
