pictures from the vault

i finally got around to hanging up pictures and paintings in my bedroom this evening. that's pretty much the last room in the house that didn't have anything hanging on the walls, unless you count the laundry room. which i guess i should, although that's also the kitty's bathroom, so anything that gets hung on those walls will eventually end up smelling like kitty litter.

anyway, i decided to revisit my old practice of hanging a bunch of pictures of my friends in the corner of my bedroom, as seen here:

(note: all photo thumbnails in this post are clickable for supersizing goodness).
only this time i figure i should use framed photos instead of just taping them to my wall, since i'm a grownup or something. plus, i have this nifty frame that holds a bunch of photos that i've been meaning to use since i took all the pictures of cindy and i together out of it many a year ago.

i dug through all of the hard-copy photos that i have (yes, once upon a time, photographs existed in physical form only, and my digital camera was just a twinkle in my eye), and learned two things:
1) digging through old photos is a lot of fun
2) i need more picture frames.
oh, i suppose also
3) i have a lot of photos of people who may have ingested recreational pharmaceuticals, and are thoroughly enjoying themselves as a result.

so, here's a fun little trip down memory lane.

no comment, other than see (3) above.

a good chunk of one of my groups of friends from boulder. although this pic is from halloween one year, it's not all that different from how we looked going out on any other night.

a bunch of my friends from the dorms gathered at the house i lived at in 2000:

my good friend kari:

my punk rocker friend kelly when she came to visit me in boulder around 2000:

that about does it for photos i have in both photo and digital form. now it's time for bed.
