this looks to be a pretty interesting online community. you have networks of friends, a la friendster, but you can also join "tribes" of people with similar interests. it looks like some folks were trying to do something like that within the framework of friendster, creating users like "boulder colorado" and so forth, but tribe.net seems to have this whole online-community thing understood better.
