i leave on sunday for new zealand. i'm going to be there for 2 weeks, hanging out with my friend nate and my uncle evan, and crossing paths with my friends erik and emily (who just got engaged), and looking up emma (in the middle - that's a terrible photograph), who i used to date when she lived in boulder back in the summer of 2000.

i'm very much ready for a vacation. i went straight from school into this job, so i'm in need of some time off. and time off i shall have.

and tomorrow night, i'm celebrating my birthday by being taken out to dinner by merith, and then some friends are coming over to my house for a bit of drinking and listening to music.
