good times are had by all

let's see, what have i been up to...

we spent another day in rotorua, where we did some lugeing (think little plastic go-karts with no engines going very fast down a mountain) and pretend skydiving (putting on a big floppy suit and lying face-down atop a big v-12 airplane engine and floating about), as well as exploring the government gardens. then we drove over to napier, which was a neat little seaside town full of art deco architecture. then we spent a night in this little college town called palmerston north, before driving down to wellington. wellington was a pretty cool little town, where we explored a bit, and went on a cable car up one of the hills there and wandered about this big park above the town.

nate went back home from wellington, and my uncle flew to christchurch, while i flew down to dunedin to hang out with emma. she showed me around that neat little scottish-themed college town, where she grew up, and we went to the beach today and talked to some sea lions.

now i'm in christchurch, and i have a car reserved for the next few days, which was to go visit my friends erik and emily on the west coast in the middle of their guided tour, but their tour was re-ordered, so i'm not going to meet up with them. so who knows where i'll end up...
