okay, so orbitz mailed my changed new zealand tickets to my old address in boulder, because supposedly when they looked up my address by asking discover what my address was (instead of using the address they already had in their files), they were given the above address. which sounds like a load of crap to me, since the discover card web site shows my correct, seattle-based, address, and i've been receiving discover bills here for some time now.

now, if i were to receive a fedex for someone who is not me, and asked to sign for it, i'd say, "hey there, mr or miss fedex person, that's not me." i might even add, "that's the guy who owned this house before i did. never met the guy, but i sure recognize the name from when i bought this house a few months ago." what i would not do is sign for it. like somebody did.

so... i'm waiting for orbitz to call me back, after a few conversations (read: trying to keep from yelling at the poorly-trained and often difficult-to-understand customer support in india [that's not intended as a slight against anyone except orbitz] when they're trying to tell me to file a claim with qantas after i've already told them that qantas doesn't deal directly with customers who've booked tickets through orbitz) regarding this particular problem.

son of a! Well, you haven't yet posted today, so I will hope that you are already in the air.

I can't wait for you to see Emma! She's been emailing bits from India, but I'm guessing she's back now?

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
