hotel rwanda
i just saw "hotel rwanda" last night. everyone should see this movie. it's the true story of this guy who was the manager of a big 4-star hotel in kigali during the war between the hutu and the tutsi people in the mid-90's. the guy managed to somehow save the lives of a bunch of people while over a million people, including children, were being slaughtered with machetes and guns throughout rwanda.
it's just stunning. amazing. that such an act of genocide can happen today is so fucked up beyond comprehension already, and then to see that the western world did nothing, because we don't care when brown people die, is too much.
i can't say any more about the movie. so go see it.

Yeah, I saw it this week too. Phenomenal. It's disheartening to see Americans ignore Africa no matter who's the president. And Sudan can't be in any better of a situation *right* *now*. We need to step in - this is where peacekeeping is important.
